The license terms governing your installation and use of the PromptPilot extension
Important: This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and the PromptPilot team. By installing, copying, or otherwise using the PromptPilot Chrome extension ("Software"), you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
This EULA applies to the PromptPilot Chrome extension and any related documentation, updates, or supplemental services provided by us (collectively, the "Software"). By installing the Software from the Chrome Web Store or any authorized distribution channel, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this EULA.
This EULA should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which are incorporated herein by reference.

The Software is licensed, not sold. We retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights therein. This EULA does not grant you any rights to our trademarks, service marks, logos, or brand names.
The PromptPilot name and logo are proprietary marks. Any unauthorized use is prohibited.
We may, at our sole discretion, provide updates, patches, or new versions of the Software. Such updates may be delivered automatically through the Chrome Web Store's update mechanism. By using the Software, you consent to the automatic installation of updates. Updates are governed by this EULA unless a separate agreement accompanies the update.
We are not obligated to provide any updates, support, or enhancements to the Software.
The Software analyzes text you enter in AI chat input fields and transmits it to our secure backend API for the sole purpose of generating a quality assessment and optional rewrite suggestion. This data is processed transiently and is not stored by us.
We collect limited anonymous usage analytics as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Software, you consent to such data collection practices.
The Software accesses only the AI chat input field of supported platforms. It does not read your browsing history, stored passwords, financial data, or any other sensitive information.
The Software may include open-source software components governed by their own licenses. Such components retain their original licenses, which are compatible with the terms of this EULA. Nothing in this EULA limits your rights under, or grants you rights that supersede, the terms of any applicable open-source license.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Software will meet your requirements, operate without interruption, or be free from errors. Any suggestion generated by the Software is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice of any kind.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.
This EULA is effective until terminated. Your rights under this EULA will terminate automatically and without notice from us if you fail to comply with any of its terms.
You may terminate this EULA at any time by uninstalling the Software and destroying all copies in your possession.
Upon termination, all rights granted to you under this EULA will immediately cease. Sections 4, 8, 9, and 12 shall survive any termination of this EULA.
This EULA, together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, constitutes the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Software and supersedes all prior agreements, representations, and understandings. If any provision of this EULA is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of this EULA will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
